The UIC women's gymnastics team embarks on its eighth all-time NCAA Regional on Saturday night when the Flames compete in the six-team NCAA South Central Regional Championship in Tucson. John Jaramillo of the UIC Sports Information Office is with the team at the University of Arizona's McKale Center and will provide live updates via the first-ever UIC Women's Gymnastics TumBlog exclusive to uicflames.com.
Remember to keep up with the meet throughout the evening with the TumBlog (yes, it's the words "tumbling" and "blog" meshed together...cute, huh?) and the live scoring page on the right sidebar of the women's gymnastics page at uicflames.com.
Thanks to everyone for tuning in. It's been a great season for UIC women's gymnastics. Great job by a wonderful group of young ladies and a fine cap to the careers of the three seniors. The seniors will check in with a diary entry at uicflames.com later.
While Kenshin laid on the floor, bleeding heavily and weakly, Shishio sat in delirium and intense heat, unaware that his blood was boiling into fine vapor. As Shishio got back up and was to kill Kenshin, they clashed in a final standoff, as Kenshin refused to let go of the will to live. Retorting back that all are for himself to feast upon and appearing to have the upper hand, eventually, Shishio's body heat rose to the point where his blood evaporated, and the fat and oils in his body ignited. Screaming out in pain and surprise in his death throes, Shishio laughed in hysteria and defeated madness at how time chose Kenshin as the victor. The result as Shishio was ultimately consumed by his flame and continued to burn until all that became of him, and Yumi, was ash.
As Himura makes his way through the depths of the Rengoku, Shishio engages his predecessor and tells him of blades that they wield are both of the same maker. Unlike the manga and anime incarnation, he faces off against Kenshin Himura at full strength and unhindered by any previous combatants. Learning that his trump to rule Japan now faces irreversible jeopardy upon its demise, being bombarded with cannon fire by the military, he plans to kill Kenshin with the flames of hell that burn within him. Still, his limits come to the surface as his head begins to rupture violently due to the hot steam within his body boiling to where it will burst out of him. Continuing fighting to the death with Himura, he delivers a deadly attack by impaling Kenshin's shoulder with the Mugenjin but is ultimately defeated when Kenshin performs a variation of the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki, slamming his hilt onto Shishio's forehead to where it splits his head apart while aggravating his condition. Now wholly thrown off his guard, forcibly putting his split head back together in a great deal of pain, Yumi rushes to his aid and pushes him out of the way, before the boiler explodes, ending the duel entirely. After the explosion that has rendered the Rengoku useless, Shishio has died, and his remains are lost in the last blast that sinks the ship completely.
Hours (or days) later, Shishio somehow awoke alive, still face down in the snow, charred so profoundly from the flames that his sweat glands were destroyed along with most of his skin. Managing to crawl to safety, he disappeared into the criminal underworld for several years, where he was bandaged and clothed, and where he recruited his team of mercenaries made up of individuals who had tragic pasts similar to his own (he may have liberated some himself), including the once-prostitute love interest Yumi.
Eventually revealing himself to the world and to those who had wronged him, Shishio discovered that Saitō Hajime had become a police officer. Seeing Saitō as an enemy, Shishio decided to raid and burn down one of Saitō's compounds with a small group of attackers, where they managed to capture and hold hostage some of the latter's men, tying them up individually and suspending them from the ceiling above the flames. Once on scene, Saitō attempted to fight through Shishio's men to get to Shishio himself but failed to do so once Shishio signaled for his men to release the hostages into the fire, to their demise, before casually walking out together with Yumi and Soujiro. Saitō was left alive to mourn his men.
Recca Hanabishi, since he was young, has always been able to produce flames from his right hand, but has almost no control over anything besides their perpetuated existence. It is only after a fateful meeting with a woman named Kagehoushi, who proceeds to try to kill his new friend Yanagi Sakoshita, that Recca seeks to improve his control over these skills and the real story begins. Meanwhile, certain malevolent parties seek to acquire Yanagi, who possesses the power to heal with a mere touch, for their own ends.
Overall, Dabi is one of the more powerful members among the league. His quirk has shown to have a destructive nature and he is skilled enough with it to hold his own against Pro Heroes. Shota Aizawa, a powerful Pro Hero, struggled against a clone of Dabi for a considerable amount of time (which did not have the same power as the original). Later, in conjunction with Mr. Compress, they managed to both seal and kill Snatch, a strong Pro Hero. On top of this, he managed to fight evenly against and later pin down the extremely skilled No. 2 Pro Hero, Hawks, while overpowering the latter with the brute force of his flames.
Despite his Quirk's power, Dabi's flames begin to eat away at him and burn his body should he use them for too long, which prevents him from fighting prolonged battles. To counter this, Dabi tends to rattle his opponents and engage in psychological warfare in order to buy himself time to cool down. He is also capable of saving firepower for more devastating attacks.
These nomads seem to have no eyes left and attack haltingly and move very slowly. While the deal little damage with their strange instruments, they are extremely deadly thanks to their Frenzied Flame attacks. Once they start casting them to shoot beams of madness-inducing fire in large arcs around them, its hard to stop or stagger them, so you'll need to be quick and decisive in your strikes, or fight at long distance.
Head down the stairs on the other side carefully to find another wandering Nomad among the dead, and a structure against the left wall he can destroy with his frenzied flames. There's also another Nomad playing music along the ledge, but won't join the fight unless you strike him. Grab the 5 Eye of Yelough hiding behind the structure, and if this Nomad gives you trouble, you can try sneaking up behind him.
By interacting the door while naked, your character will pry it open, despite the frenzied flames. The cutscene inside will leave your character forever marked by the Frenzied Flame, and returning to Hyetta will have you seal your pact by giving Hyetta the flame of chaos inside you. After talking to her a final time, she'll leave you with the Frenzied Flame Seal and 5 Frenzyflame Stone.
Meanwhile, the Commander reprimands his troops for playing Solitaire instead of Pinball and claims to be able to see the future. At the White House, the President descends into madness due to his presidency soon coming to an end, no one calling him, eating drywall, and being broken up with Sonic.
Needles Kane is a feared serial killer terrorizing Midtown, well-known for his vast numbers of gruesome murders. One day he is finally captured and put for execution. A preacher came into the room; he seemed to be someone intending to save Needles' soul, but he had other plans. When Needles is being electrocuted, the preacher shouted out to God to put a curse on Kane, to burn forever in the flames of hell. At that moment, Needles head set on fire, and he broke free from the bonds. He then gets beaten by four officers, managing to kill three in less than a minute, and puts his mask back on. Soon after, Needles is sent to Blackfield Asylum. For three months, the pain from the curse gets worse every day. Calypso came to visit and made Needles an offer: if Needles won his contest, Calypso would remove the curse. Needles enters the contest, intent on killing Calypso later.
After an unknown period of time, Marcus finally gave in to Needles' demands, externalizing the facet of himself by creating a macabre clown mask. Unfortunately, this allowed Needles to subdue or destroy Marcus' personality, effectively bringing the man's repressed madness and sadism to the forefront. To celebrate his new freedom, the newly-named Sweet Tooth donned the clown mask (somehow setting his head ablaze in the process) and decided to murder "his" family.
Nor is this high relationship of the adored reptile found only inregions where it might have been raised up by ethnical combinations asthe mere survival of a savage symbol. William Craft, an African whoresided for some time in the kingdom of Dahomey, informed me of thefollowing incident which he had witnessed there. The sacred serpentsare kept in a grand house, which they sometimes leave to crawl in theirneighbouring grounds. One day a negro from some distant regionencountered one of these animals and killed it. The people learningthat one of their gods had been slain, seized the stranger, and havingsurrounded him with a circle of brushwood, set it on fire. The poorwretch broke through the circle of fire and ran, pursued by the crowd, who struck him with heavy sticks. Smarting from the flames and blows,he rushed into a river; but no sooner had he entered there than thepursuit ceased, and he was told that, having gone through fire andwater, he was purified, and might emerge with safety. Thus, even inthat distant and savage [4]region, serpent-worship wasassociated with fire-worship and river-worship, which have a widerepresentation in both Aryan and Semitic symbolism. To this day theorthodox Israelites set beside their dead, before burial, the lightedcandle and a basin of pure water. These have been associated inrabbinical mythology with the angels Michael (genius of Water) andGabriel (genius of Fire); but they refer both to the phenomenal gloriesand the purifying effects of the two elements as reverenced by theAfricans in one direction and the Parsees in another. 781b155fdc
