The corresponding manga chapters are listed in parentheses next to the episode numbers if you are interested. The first set is the overall chapter numbers and the second is the chapters as contained within each volume, separated by a bar (). If a manga chapter reference is followed by an asterisk (*), then there has been some story-critical change between the manga and the anime adaptation.
Since Detective Conan has had some direct crossovers with the Magic Kaito manga over the years, yet those parts of the Detective Conan anime never had the Magic Kaito parts that gave them context animated as well, those crossovers have never really had their full and proper effect for anime-only fans. However, now that Magic Kaito has finally received an adequate anime adaptation, I have taken the liberty of working the timings of these all-important crossovers into where they fit in with their Detective Conan episode counterparts, making the crossovers whole once more. The Internet can thank me later. The only issue is that the Magic Kaito episodes are entirely out of order. But, the order really does not matter for that series as it does with Conan, as the series is entirely episodic beyond pretty much the first episode. So, you can ignore that and watch that series in any order you wish.
An episode being on this list does not necessarily mean that I am insisting that you watch it. It is calling the case out as one that someone might not want to miss for some reason or reasons, with those listed. If the reason given does not look like it matters to you, feel free to ignore that episode.
The *Main Plot* label is only there to point out episodes that you definitely should not skip, since listing the spoiler-lite reasons alone may not be enough. Watching only those episodes is missing out on most of the character development, which is what mainly causes you to care about what happens in those episodes in the first place. While I am not necessarily recommending that you watch every case listed, I am suggesting that you find a balance somewhere in the middle that works for you.
13 [INTL 14] (manga 13-16V2F4-7*): Introduces Miyano Akemi. *Main Plot*Note her importance was far more immediately obvious in the manga (although not the full breadth of it by any means). But the anime creators were idiots, in a way they really seemed to enjoy being at this point in the anime, and changed the ending of this episode completely. Therefore, they had to make a special original followup episode later on when they got to adapting the part of the manga where the implications of the true ending started to become extremely important. Fortunately, I think they learned from this incident and stopped doing things quite so dumb from that point on.
In the anime series there is a opening and ending. The opening shows the introduction song to the anime and ending shows the outro of the anime. There are also soundtracks in the series known as background music. Around each season there are mostly two or three opening songs, which shows three or four or maybe five endings. There are also songs that has been dubbed by Funimation, which only shows the first three opening theme songs and some ending songs. At each opening theme, Conan tells a short outline about the episode of the day and will says in the end \"There is only one truth\".
Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed, is a series that tells the story of a teenage detective whose body was transformed into a child's under mysterious conditions with heightened investigative skills. The series first began in 1996 and followed the story of Shinichi Kudo, or Conan: the high school detective who looks like a child. Shinichi, along with the FBI and a variety of characters, solves several cases and takes on the name of Conan to pin down the organization responsible for shrinking him.
Due to the enormous amount of episodes and installments, the recommended watch order for Detective Conan is the chronological sequence. The first Magic Files OVA episode is a compilation of several anime series episodes. However, it eventually evolved into a series with original narratives aligned with some theatrical Case Closed movies.
Shinichi Kudo is a 17-year-old student at Teitan High school who became famous for helping the Tokyo police in solving cases. However, during an investigation, he gets ambushed by the Black Organization. They force-feed him a dangerous experimental drug to murder him. But instead of killing him, it turns him into a child. After that, he takes up the name Conan Edogawa inspired by legendary mystery novel writers. From then on, Shinichi or Conan lives with his childhood friend Ran Mori(Rachel Moore) and her father Kogoro Mori(Richard) who is a private detective.
The anime has over 1000 episodes and counting as the show is still ongoing. It is the fifteenth longest-running anime airing in Japan. There are 31 seasons and still more coming. As for movies, 24 feature films on Detective Conan have been released till now. The first seven of the films were directed by Kenji Kodama. Yasuichiro Yamamoto directed the next seven (8-14) and Kobun Shizuno directed the next seven films(15-21). Yuzuru Tachikawa directed the 22nd film. From film 23 and onwards were directed by Chika Nagaoka.
Kogoro Mouri is a private detective but unfortunately a lazy one. He was the ace of the judo team while he was a student in Teitan high school. Shinichi lives in the Mouri household. He also uses Kogoro to tell everyone else how he solved each of the cases as no one would believe an elementary school kid. 781b155fdc
